I got to start my flight training with In The Pattern by going through their CFI Academy in June of 2025. I went through a month-long course covering both CFI and CFII material, along with flights, and by the end of the month, I was checkride-ready. My instructor and the school worked hard to find me a checkride date, and within the following month, I was able to take my CFI checkride. A couple of weeks later, I had my CFII as well, giving me plenty of time to prepare in between and stay proficient.
A few months later, I received an offer to join the ITP Instructor team. Coming into this role, there was a lot of unknown, but I was excited to receive such an offer. ITP truly has been a family to me, with maintenance, scheduling, ramp, and the instructors, everyone welcomed me and was diligent to help out and make things as seamless as possible. This company is filled with people who look out for each other and are eager to help.
After several months of being an instructor, my time at ITP was cut shorter than expected due to an incredible opportunity to jump ahead in my career. While I am incredibly blessed and looking forward to my next step, I will miss this team. Getting to be a part of a school and environment like ITP has been truly a blessing and has taught me many things I will bring with me for the rest of my career.
